Little Faces, Big Hearts is a support group for families and individuals with VCFS/DiGeorge and other special needs. The group is based out of East Tennessee. Having a child affected by VCFS it is my personal agenda to educate and bring awareness to the disorder and medical conditons. I would like for others who experience the day to day challenges that are created with special needs children to know that there are others that can directly relate to them. It is not only important to educate but, to provide a support network for families. To learn more about why I started the group click on Briley's Story.
Currently, the meetings are once a month at a local church. We currently have meetings the last Saturday of every month at the Redeemer Lutheran Church on 1658 Roane State Hwy. Just click on the Contact Us page to get more information on the location. Future meetings will be posted here on the website as they are scheduled.
In the future, I would like to see Little Faces, Big Hearts become active in fundraising and special events that raise awareness for VCFS/DiGeorge Syndrome. I want to make the genetic disorders more known in order for it be less commonly misdiagnosed and undiagnosed in children.
